TVSeries v2.2 Release Highlights

PLAYLISTS:

• Added Playlist support for TV series episodes. Playlists allow you to create a queue of your favourite episodes and save them to a playlist. All common playlist functions are supported

• All items for the selected series or season can be added to a playlist. You can add items by invoking the menu Press (F9) or Info button on remote.

• Playlist view may be entered by clicking on the 'Current Playlist' button or by loading a playlist from the 'My Playlists' button.

• Playlists are saved to the users Personal Documents Directory under 'My Playlists'. Filenames have extension .tvsplaylist

FANART:

• Automatic download of Fanart during import, user can select the preferred resolution and number of fanart to retrieve online.

• Added new layouts to Fanart Chooser window: Filmstrip and Small Icons.

• Added Filter menu to Fanart Chooser window, user can now filter fanarts by resolution.

MEDIA INFO:

• Added Media Info Field: 'TextCount'. This stores the number of subtitles that are embedded in the episode file.

• Added Media Info Field: 'AudioTracks. This stores the number of Audio Tracks embedded in the episode file.
  Logo Rules / Formatting Rules can be used to represent these new fields in the skin e.g. Dual Audio logo

SUBTITLES:

• Added new Subtitle Retriever: 'TVsubtitles.net', 'Forom' has been removed in configuration.

• Fixed subtitle retrieval from 'Remository', thanks to Gabe01

ONLINE FAVOURITES / USER RATINGS:

• Added importing of user favourties from thetvdb.com. Favourites Added/Removed since last import will be reflected in GUI. User can also Add/Remove from server locally.

• Added new option in Configuration under the 'Views' tab to control if the online favourites or local favourites are displayed in GUI.

• Added importing of user ratings from theTVDB.com. All user ratings that have been sent to the server locally/remote will be imported locally on next import.

Note: User Ratings and User Favourites will only be downloaded if theTVDB.com User Account ID (NOT Username) is entered in the configuration.

MISC:

• Added the ability to change layouts from with-in the GUI. User no longer needs to exit MediaPortal and manually edit from Configuration or SkinSettings.xml.

• Fixed 'Sort By' not using the sort name of the series e.g. 'Simpsons, The'. Option to sort series is available under 'General Settings' in configuration.

• Added new Date Setting to 'General Settings' in configuration. The Short Date format 'yyyy-MM-dd' can be over-ridden with a format defined in the Users 'Regional and Language Options' of the Windows Control Panel.

• Fixed 'Clear Update Timestamps' option not working as expected. When this option is clicked, the next import will download all updates from the theTVDB.com.

• Changed 'Hide Spoiler' functionality to also hide thumbnail. Typically a episode thumbnail should not contain spoilers but this sometimes is not the case. Fixed OSD not reflecting this setting.

• Fixed Double Episodes not being imported correctly. The second part was not imported and displayed in GUI. This only occurred when 'Download episode information for whole series' was not enabled.

• Fixed several crashes reported by users in forums and Issue Tracker.

Get very strange readouts in xfactor and monochrome skins, where it lists episodes it shows things like "small" and "showunwatched" just randomly in the lists.

What about Blue3Wide and MP 1.0.1

Seems to be fine with blue3wide.

Maybe you are in an unsupported layout when using the other skins..try changing it while you are in Blue3wide and then go back. If that doesnt work you will need to post some screen shots in your skin forum.

This and the StreamedMP skin are what makes MP stand out from the crowd. If only some of the other plugins/skins were as polished and well coded as these.
