strange problem

i've been using mediaportal for a while now, since upgrading to RC3+ tvseries 2.0 i've had some problems.
when I first load mediaportal and go to tvseries everything works perfectly:

and

however, if I go back to the home screen and then load tvseries a second time, things disappear!

(logos are gone and the two images on the top left are gone)
and

(the season cover and the episode thumbnail are gone)

anyone seen this before?
