Default Advice needed

A few questions without the waffle - for more detail see post below...

Will MP work on Vista 32bit and 64bit - I will have both on my network?

Can I put MP on an Xbox360 - if so can you point me to somewhere the process is explained?

I cannot get MP to scan for sat channels - do I need to have TV server to do this? (testing on a stand alone PC)

Any advice appreciated, I really want this to fly...

Thx

No

TVCard info would be needed for this, to see if its supported by MP, if DVB-S2 then TVServer is required anyway.

Thanks Ray, is visual studio 2005 instead of SQL - had a look and it appears to be programming tools (sorry for my ignorance!).

my TV card is a Technotrend S3200 - it is an S2 card but I assumed that I could check it out on standard def channels (just for a test before trying to configure the full system). I cannot find a scan facility in the configuration and try it through the setup wizard in MP main menu bit it fails, probably because I have not setup configuration correctly (MP can see the card and correctly identifies its make) - looks like I have to individually load the Sat channel freq etc rather than doing a complete scan as it appears in the TV server documentation. Am I missing something fundamental... Thinking I should just go ahead and load TV Server - on a vista 32bit operating stand alone system am I correct in thinking all I need is TV server and MySQL 5.0 installed.

Here is how I hoped it would work - install the TT S3200 and latest Vista non MCE drivers, install MP (or TV server+MYSQL), scan frequencies on Astra 28E, select FTA channels and setup guide data (I have a CAM module with NDS decryption). Is this about right or am I missing an important step. P.S. I have this working on my main HTPC in MCE, so I am confident that I have a good Sat feed and the CAM module is working.

Cheers,
Rory
