Default Can only watch tv in preview

Hi, new here, great project though...

Have installed the Tv Server and the client (i think) via the single seat install.

I can access the tv server management program, and I can scan and find loads of channels and the tv server seems to run fine, and I can see tv channels via the preview option, but I cannot figure out how to just watch tv (on the pc) normally?

What i mean is when I run the Media Portal program, I can only access music and photos and DVDs but I do not get a tv option?

Help would be appreciated, thanx...

Is this all on one pc, did you install the TVServer client plugin (this allows MP to watch television from the TVServer).

Just to save time, download the latest svn from here MediaPortal and TV-Server 1.0 RC1 svn-builds - MediaPortal Forum

This has 2 installers, run the mediaportal one first, and the TVServer one second, with this one it will ask if you wish to delete or keep settings, make sure you select no to deleting, it will uninstall then reinstall TVServer with a prompt from you.

Restart server, password "MediaPortal"

And you should have TV.

Yep, sorry should have said its all on one pc.

I have rebooted the pc and then I was able to get TV ok. But then i accidentally started timeshifting (a wayward mouse click seemed to start it!) and the whole pc then came to a halt. Rebooted again and started Media Portal again, but this time could not get TV ? and Media Portal is stuttering along really slowly.

This is a relatively fast pc, so should not be chugging along this slowly I think? and controlling the icons on screen seems to be very haphazard, sometimes a moues click works, sometimes not.

I was using the proprietary software (Hypermedia) that came with this TV card, and this was working fine, but its a bit limited, hence my decision to install Media Portal. I've also got NERO (v8) installed and can watch tv via this, so the card is obviously installed and working ok.

However, there wouldn't be a conflict between Nero and MP would there?

Everything else works fine on this pc as I've just built this pc myself a couple of weeks ago (this is not my first pc build, and I'm into overclocking, so I like to think I know how to build em ok).

Thanx
