couple of issues with mediaportal

im running the latest version of media portal on xp sp2 3ghz with 2gb ram. it has a hauppage nova t-500

about every 3 days or so the remote stops working and medialportal gets stuck on just one channel. i can hit the windows button but it takes me back to the menu and keeps tv running in a window over the menu. this means i have to reboot the pc to get it running as i cant minimise or close it.

also i want to set the picture setting s to 'stretch' so the picture fills my tv but the setting dont seemt o be saved, where can i save these?

Hi dozers, welcome to the forum

You should attach your logs (use MPTestTool, found in start-menu, after the failure has occurred), and list your HW+SW specs.

MP Config\Television choose default zoom mode, select stretch

since posting this issue i now have another one, no channels work at all. when i select a channel it comes up 'no signal found'

i tried rescanning in mp setup and it found all the channels fine however when i launch mp and go to tv i still get no channels found on all channels i try to select. the program guide is still there.

Are you using the TVServer, or inbuilt MyTV, as you may not have the TVServer client plugin installed if the first.

ps if running a T500, you really do need the latest svn for it to be reliable (19069)

Hi!
If you choose/select to use the TVServer when installing, then the client will be installed as well.

SVN's are weekly releases which contains bug fixes and improvements. Read more: MEDIAPORTAL - free MediaCenter HTPC Software - RC1 SVN builds started

ok ive installed the latest version after uninstalling.

now when i scan for channels i get none found, i have signal strength but not quality?

actually got this working, only problem now is my back button no longer works on my remote.

ok im slowly working through these issues. the only one left is the epg.

i have enabled to grab the epg in tvsever and left it over night but it still hasnt updated, is there something simple i have missed?
