Question Help with FLV videos

I'm hoping someone could tell me if it's possible to play FLV videos in MP with out using an external player.

Default

- Downloaded and install FLV player

- Make sure MP is seeing .FLV as a movie file, go into "Mediaportal-configuration"/Movies/Movie Extentions and check if ".FLV" is listed, otherwise add it.

- Enable FLV player in Mediaportal, go into "Mediaportal-configuration"/Plugins/External players and enable "FLV player"

This solved all my probs with FLV files.....

Thanks Userjan, but I was hoping there was a way to use the internal player so I could user the Video Playlist feature.

Hi, if you have got ffdshow installed, you have only to install PlayFLV

PlayFLV

and to add .flv to extension list.

For me works great .

Installing PlayFLV alone was NOT sufficient in my case. I also needed to install the FLV-Splitter from here ! (important: the Splitter in this download works, there are others out there which didn't work for me !)

EDIT: OK, seems like PlayFLV installs the FLV-Splitter, but the version differs (1.0.0.1 is installed, 1.0.0.4 is the one out of my download). Both versions play FLV if I add them in Video-Postprocessing BUT both make MediaPortal crash if I play anything else than .flv. I will have to investigate this and get back when I have news.
@userjan: I tried your solution but there is no "FLV-Player" in the "external players" section of my MP config (RC1).
