Country: | I am wanting to install TV station Logos into EPG. Is there a documented description of how to do this or is there someone that can assist please. I have been using MP 0.2.2 for a couple of years and am also playing with MP 1 RC2 at present. I have just got around to trying to set up the more refined bits. Thanks in advance for any help. Regards Caudron |

Country: | Thanks for the assist. Amazing how simple that was once I had the correct information. Got that going now! It's good that you are from Aust. I have another question. I have most of the EPG sorted but cannot get any EPG for SBS News or HD for the commercial channels since EPGstream went away. Have you managed to get that bit sorted? Any further help would be appreciated. BTW - I am in Perth. |

| Portal Member | EPGStream hasn't gone away. They just made it a bit harder for new users to get their hands on the xml files by providing their own download pack which pesters you for a donation to be able to automate the process. I never liked EPG stream anyway - too much advertising in the descriptions of the programs. I grab 7, 9 and 10 (SD and HD) from the DVB-T card. They give a full 7 days worth of data for both SD and HD channels now. ABC was only giving about 2 days worth via DVB-T, and SBS was only providing now and next. So I use WebEPG to scrape those guides out of yahoo. In fact, I scrape the lot as a back-up source, but only import ABC and SBS. The default xml's that come with WebEPG for yahoo will get you 7, 9, 10 SD + ABC, ABC2 and SBS. You need to do some tweaking to get the HD channels via this avenue. I use Big Kev's EPG Downloader for TV server to import the data into the TV Server database, rather than the built in xmltv plugin. xmltv tends to stomp all over the dvb-t grabs if you go with the recommended setting. With Big Kev's downloader, I can choose EPGstream, OzTivo or the local file WebEPG creates from the yahoo scrape and apply them to whichever channels I choose. |

Country: | Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. Work sometimes gets in the way of having fun. I have followed your lead and revisited EPGStream and got there download working. I have also have some joy grabbing from DVB-T. I am starting to realise that one data source is not enough. I cannot find Big Kev's EPG downloader anywhere - is it still hiding on a web site somewhere?. I still have a very early version that no longer works (doesn't even have a version number). I think that Kev's software would be ideal for created a combine source file. Thanks once again for your help. |
