Country: | I'm not entirely sure exactly what you mean (I generally understand, but you need to be pretty detailed and specific for our feedback to be of any real use to you - remember we can't see what you can see), but the default username and password for the SQL Server database set up by the installation process is: Username: sa Password: MediaPortal |

Country: | I can't personally help too much with DVB-S issues, since I don't use a satellite connection (I use DVB-T in Australia, so not only a different transmission technology, but a different digital TV standard too). If the channels are scanning correctly in the TV Server configuration tool, but then not showing up, it could be something to do with encryption/scrambling. One thing you can try is in the Manual Control section of the TV Server configuration tool, try to tune into a channel (after scanning and finding channels under TV Servers first). You won't see any video, but it will show signal strength and quality, and confirm that the TV Server, at least, can tune into a channel. If that works successfully, then the problem is with the MediaPortal client. If it doesn't, then something is wrong with the setup of your TV Server. You might also want to do a search of the forums here for the name of the satellite service you are trying to use, to see if anyone else has had your problem before and managed to fix it. Cheers, Rob. |
