Default Microsoft Media Center Keyboard

I have Media Portal Installed on my XP machine, and have been using a microsoft MCE remote and that works very well. i have now bought a Microsoft Media Center Keyboard, and although the infra-red receiver lights up when i press a key on the keyboard, i can't seem to get any of the buttons on the keyboard to work, neither does the built in mouse, does anyone have any ideas on how to get this working on a XP machine. Thanks

I have a MCE keyboard myself, do you mean the shortcut buttons? Or any button? Didn't have to set anything up on my installation to get the normal buttons to work.

I think you're missing this hotfix:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

even if it's for MCE, it works under XP SP2 and should solve your problem

Hi.

I have the same problem, been using a logitech keyboard, mouse and remote with a Imon reciver but was buying a MCE keyboard and remote to get rid of the mouse on the table everytime i worked on myh HTPC.

I dont get any respons from the keyboar bottoms and mouse but the short cut buttoms works (TV Guide, Live TV etc.)
I tried to install the IR server Suite but that didnt change anything.

I have a danish win WP sp2 and when i try to download the am not able to install the Hotfix below it tells me is the wrong language and i dont get the option to change to Danish .

I have the exact same problem as Lars. I've installed irbus files from microsoft mce as the driver and only shortcuts working. I cant either install the rollup 2 because of language difficulties. Please HELP.
