Country: | Hello All, just built my HTPC and installed MP und TV Server. PowerDVD 7 is installed aswell. Provider is local digital cableTV. Got the TV to work. I read many topics in this forum but I must confess that I could not understand everything. So many special talks about codecs, plugins,... very interesting but confusing. Some Problems I can't solve: - I receive two HD channels but both are jerking. What tuning options could help me here? - Can't get the included iMON PAD remote control to work with MP. How can I configure the right commands for MP? (CH+ , CH- , .....) Is there a list of commands for MP? - Is it possible to switch zoom with the remote like you can do it at LCD TV's ? Maybe someone cant take me to the right topics. regards Andreas

Country: | Regarding the HD channels: what exact H.264 codec did you configure in the Television section of the MediaPortal configuration? What is the exact version of PowerDVD you are using (incl. build#)? Did you activate Hardware Acceleration for MPEG2 and AVC/H.264 content in the PowerDVD codec under DirectShow configuration (or however it is called)?

Country: | Well, all I can say is, that I have troubles getting HD channels to work in MP too. I can view the HD channels in other applications (like FireDTV Viewer) just fine though.

Country: | If not already done, update your Catalyst drivers. Then apply the ATI HD Registry Tweaks . I'd suggest to use PowerDVD 8 Ultra. Install it and simply activate Hardware Acceleration in its options (the option should mention ATi Avivo).

Country: | Today I did some further tests. By chance I had a look at the distribution box. I have internet-connection and TV over cable and there was an filter installed in the distribution box. Just uninstalled the filter and all channels work fine. Internt connection is still working. So don't know why this stupid filter was installed ![]() Watching unencrypted ORF1HD now ![]() ![]() to come to the conclusion: it is not helpful playing around with decoder settings when the prerequisites are not OK ![]()
