Default New to Media Portal - Some Quick Advice Please :)

I have MediaPortal installed in a slimline Acer Desktop and am currently just using if for media that is stored on my PC.

In my area (bunbury, Western Australia) we only have 2 crap channels that are digital so I want to get a low profile PCI TV ANALOG TV tuner to put in my machine that will work out of the box with Media Portal.

Can someone recommend one for me please?

Kind Regards,

Chris

You can have a look here for cards that should work out of the boxs with media portal.

As for recmmendations, Sorry can't help you there as i use Digital. But you can get cards that are both Analog and digital(there not the cheapest though). Another thing is to get a "hardware" encoding analog card as your computer will thank you for it

Well, this is a hybrid card ( ref.: http://www.leadtek.com.tw/eng/tv_tun...&pronameid=315 ). For the analogue part I bet it is is a software encoding card. SW based cards is only limited supported in MP.

The digital part should work with BDA drivers and TVE3/TV-server.

The DTV1800H has hardware encoding. Anyone got it working with MP? It's a great price these days, available in Australia for $65, and it would be great if support could be included.

Sorry forget the 1800H. I had the wrong model. The model I am interested is the Leadtek DVR3100 H.
