WinAmp plug-ins have no issue with MP... I mean, WinAmp certinainly works with MP as I use it as my external player for videos. Now, when WinAmp is running, it will also run the WinAmp plug-ins. Once you close WinAmp and return to MP, the plug-ins are not going to be running anymore.

Are you thinking that this WinAmp plug-in could also run and provide additional functions for MP? I doubt it.

Hi i guess I was wondering since I use this a lot on my PC and it was not until I saw my mates MP that's I decided to make one of my own, but he was using Mircosoftware and even that had some issues...

I have not found this to be a smooth ride with MP, however it's got to be hard to cater for all the different types out there, which I understand...

I am only playing own my main desktop at the moment to get a feel and to prepare my data source, which I have now for Films at least just need to work on the Music but I have alot more music than films .... so that's the reason for the MP CD and DVD are history to some degree I like to be able to select digitally, but in addition there's LESS DUSTING LOL which I am sure we will all agree on ...

As per your comment "Are you thinking that this WinAmp plug-in could also run and provide additional functions for MP? I doubt it. "

In your own words
"WinAmp certinainly works with MP as I use it as my external player for videos."

Which means it does serve addtional purpose...

I'm sorry... but your response confuses me. Yes, WinAmp can be used to play movies and music instead of MP's own internal player. I prefer WinAMP because I know it very well. Now, when I run WinAMP from MP, WinAmps plug-ins run for WinAmp and not MP. So your question about WinAmp plugs-in working in MP... well that's not possible. WinAmp plug-ins work with WinAmp and not MP.

And yes... WinAmp works with MP... and yes, as far as I can tell... WinAmp plug-ins work with WinAmp.

MP comes with it's own MP3 player... I use WinAmp. I configure MP not to use it's player but instead use WinAmp. Here is how I do it...

Outside of MP I configure WinAmp the way I want including all the plug-ins that I use. Once WinAmp is perfect... start MP Configuration program. At the top right, make sure your in "Expert Mode". Then from the tree on the left... open "Movies". One of your sub-folder choices is "Movie Player". Go to this open and the dialog box on the right gives you lots of configuration stuff... At the bottom is selection for "External Player". Check this box then use the Browse button to select the Winamp.exe file. Done...

Maybe I should also include the following...

after I completed the steps from above, now when I select a movie to play from MP (My Movies)... WinAmp starts and begins playing the movie.

So you view normal winamp through your TV basicly and all MP does it's create a short cut to that application.

Is that correct or and you still within MP and it's using the winamp engine since one thing is may be better for me is how it's lists all your music as other players are a little long winded I must admit I am rather new to this side... and I am playing on my main desktop machine, since I need to build a new machine later but not going to happen for a while. ;-(
