[MediaPortal-Bot]

Infos:
These Subversion-snaps are compiled at about 01.00h (CET).
You can also visit the official irc-channel (#mediaportal) to get a notice when its ready for download. The trigger !svn gives you the latest update too.
They are not pre-tested, so please use the backup option from time to time.
If you'd like the bleeding edge code and don't mind the inherent risks, upgrade to the snapshot releases as they become available.
If stability is important to you, you might want to stay with the fully-tested releases.

How to install MediaPortal SVN-Snapshots in short:
1) Install MediaPortal 0.2.3.0, not necessary if already done
2) install .NET Framework Version 2.0
3) Run the Snapshot-Installer. You should create a backup.
4) Run Configure. Sometimes the settings and database versions change from build to build, so you have to reconfigure your TV for example
5) Hopefully enjoy the new version
6) If not, restore your old files and you will have the former version back.

Important notice: The backup function wont work for Vista atm, here you need to save your configuration manually. A rewrite is planned but will take some more time for testing.

I cannot listen webstreams anymore with this SVN... I can see them in TV Server confuguration but they are not shown in MediaPortal anymore.

Hi!

When I enter MyTV in MP the EPG loads fine but the video screen stays black. I can change channels but no picture at all. This was working ~2 weeks ago until I updated to today's SVN.

I re-registered TsReader.ax, I also did the dvbfix again.
Please see my logs attached.

Hi!

I tried MP (latest SVN) on my Windows XP SP2 client. I installed DVBFix, all updates, VC2005 SP1 Update, etc. I installed the latest TV Plugin (SVN). When I enter "My TV" I see a picture but no sound.

I also see a lot of errors in error.log:

Hi tzi,

Change the decoder for the audio. The MS one doesn't handle the sound. I would recommend AC3 filter. Thanks for your patience, it really helps to have testers who stick with it.

video playback is not working

Sorry, no logs here. Just thought to post, as i know that this is a common problem and someone else might be wondering if it's fixed already.

I like having my MP working :-) I will try the AC3Filter now and see if it works.

Any ideas what is causing the issue with the TSReader.ax? I see a lot of the following errors occuring when I try to watch TV:

EDIT:

I installed AC3Filter and I discared the Cyberlink PDVD 7.x Audio Filter from now one. This fixed my TV issue. Works now on both machines!

myTV is finally functioning without the dreaded "Recorder Busy" message. Entering myTV on my secondary monitor with Fullscreen ON finally works!

btw... I still haven't tracked down why my MCE remote's BACK button quit being recognized..... (using the MCE replacement plugin) all other keys are noticed.
