Country:  |  Codec packs and MC PC´s This is just a notification, hope that this helps some of you later on... I´we been useing K-Lite Mega codec pack and been very happy with it so far. I´we seen all the movies with no issues and MP have been succesfully useing it´s possipilityes. I did a clean install the other day and run in to a problem. I downloaded latest version from that codec pack. Little bit later I needed to reboot my computer and I got very innoing popup, "Media Center Receiver Service has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." I found out that some of the codec´s are the reason for that. Some other codec pack´s are useing the tha same version from the codec witch is the actual reason. I don´t know actually witch exactly is the one, but I got rid of that popup uninstalling the latest version and useing 1.65 insted.

|  Codec packs are known to cause all kinds of weird issues so MP development team is not recommending using those.
