Default How to extend my wireless network?

Hi everyone,

I have a Linksys WRT54G (v2), and I just got a Wii (woohoo!). The problem is that my network doesn't extend to where the Wii is located. If I move the router closer, everything is fine. Unforturnately, due to physical limitations, the router cannot be permanently moved nor can the Wii. Does anyone have any good, relatively cheap solution? The network extenders I've seen online cost more than the router and the DIY hacks take time and soldering. Which I would like to avoid. Any suggestions for some relatively low cost hardware? Thanks.

You can buy a stronger/better(?) antenne and you can flash your router to an alternative firmware. Some can increase the range.

Something like that

Whether it fits to your router, you must search yourself .

You can also make something to put on your antenna that will boost the signal, i have never done it but heard it works good. I cant find the link now but will search for it and post it

Send a message via Yahoo to Dubyahjay

Add a larger antenna to increase signal gain, such as this 9 db rubber duckie Deliberant - 2.4G 9dBi Rubber Ducky (RPSMA)
