Default Microsoft going for Apples IPOD

Just been reading this found link on the Doom9 website.

http://www.engadget.com/2006/09/14/t...te-vice-presi/

With present and future DRM, is this really the way to go, a one stop shop, much prefer browsing a wide variety.

Personally, i'm still waiting for someone to knock at the door everytime i break out one of the many hundreds of vinyl records i own and play. (used to DJ now just a listener).

Oh well, those were the days when you could lend a friend a latest album to listen too, and not worry about infringing copyright, and breaking the law.

Title is a bit weird, but could not think of anything better at moment.

Had a BEER so if this sounds like rubbish say so. (no offence taken)

Regards

For the moment I still prefer the classic drag and drop method, I dont think Ill ever be a fan of Ipods or such. Still got my trusty Creative Muvo here

Yes. I much prefer drag and drop over syncing and all those things. I have a Creative Zen Touch here.

I am still using my Iriver H320. I use no software and it's also doubles as a Portable drive. I know it's getting a little old but it was and still is for most people the best MP3 Player out there. And now that rockbox has created a new firmware for it, it's pretty tought to beat. If someone hacks the MS Zune player to remove most of the DRM stuff, then it would be pretty tempting.

I paid a tenner for my mp3 player (new), stuck in a 512mb sd card and it's been great. about half the size of a matchbox and weighing next to nothing, why would I want an ipod? drag and drop for me too. For cameras / phones /mp3 player have always removed mem card and stuck in usb2 card reader. The proprietry bloatware that they supply is always buggy, insane and fills your pc up with junk, Sony in particular.
