Default mpeg editing

What's a good program to edit mpeg files? All I really need to do is chop off portions of the file (beginning and/or end).

I use MPEG Video Wizzard from Womble costs €100 but is the fastest MPEG editor I know and works on Muxed streams Pgm and TS.

mpeg2schnitt or cuttermaran are really good programs for editing mpeg 2 files.

cuttermaran:

mpeg2schnitt:
http://www.mdienert.de/mpeg2schnitt/

you have to demux the file before you can load them into the program. projectx is a good program to do this job.

projectx:
