Split screen PC games

I'm still trying to put together a hardware selection for a HTPC. The foremost reasons I wanted to put some powerful hardware in it was to be able to play 3D games on it.
But coming to think of it, the only reason why I would want to play games on a HTPC in the living room instead of on my tower PC is to play local multiplayer games with friends. Are there a lot of PC games that offer local multiplayer with splitscreen? I can't think of any (not a hardcore gamer :wink: ) If not, I'm going to consider downgrading the hardware needs (and cost) for my future HTPC to only use it for MP (TV, DVD, audio).

Hi,

You should look for emulators, there is some really good games to play with split screen. Mine htpc has Playstation and n64 emulators installed and two wireless gamepads.

Crash team racing for example has been really good.
