wow maximum pc hates you

i just got my October issue of maximum pc and guess what they have a whole article on building your own media center pc, but wait they never mention media portal as a software for running it, they do mention mythtv, mce 2005, and beyond tv. ouch, o well we all know media portal is better!

Could be worse I guess, they could have slated MP; albeit unjustly so. No press is better than bad press.

they probably just don't know about MP. You should send them an email to their letters colum and let them know. Now that would be good publicity.

In the German "PC Games Hardware" magazine, there's an article about building your own HTPC as well - and while they do mention MythTV and some others, they talk about MediaPortal most of the time. Some magazines know their stuff

but good point, however how many people will never get to use media portal now becuase they dont know about it...?
