Default [0.1.3.0] - Volume OSD causes TV video to freeze momentarily

Area: Media Portal Program
MP Version: 0.1.3.0
Skin: BlueTwo
Windows Version: XP Professional with SP2 and all updates
CPU Type: AMD Athlon XP 2400+
Memory: 512MB
Motherboard Chipset: VIA KM400
Video Card: GigaByte GV-R955128D (ATI Radeon 9550)
Video Card Driver: ATI Radeon v5.7
Video Render Type: VMR9 renderless
Video Codec Type & Version: nVidia Video Decoder
Audio Codec Type & Version: MPEG/AC3/DTS/LPCM Audio Decoder
TV Card: Dvico FusionHDTV DVB-T
TV Card Type: DVB-T
TV Card Driver: Dvico Fusion ver 3.0RC1

Optional Log:

Optional References:

Synopsis:

While watching full-screen TV, changes in the audio volume cause the "Volume Level OSD" to appear in the top-right of the screen, and at the same time, the video image will freeze momentarily for about half a second.

There does not appear to be any option to turn off the "Volume Level OSD"?

Also, none of the other OSD's (TV OSD, Zap OSD, etc) cause the video to momentariy freeze like the "Volume Level OSD" does.

And, when the volume is one level from silence, all 10 brown bars are displayed, indicating the the volume is on mute, but it is still clearly audible. It takes one more "volume-down" to get to the mute level.

As i mentioned earlier, i have the same problem. I found a temporary workaround though:
Most remote control apps (i use irassistant) allow you to set the system volume of the windows mixer directly, without sending a command to mediaportal, thus not enabling mediaportal's OSD. This works fine for me, so i'll be just waiting for the bug to be fixed.

Has anyone tried this with today's CVS builds?

I have just tried the CVS 07-25-2005--01-32 and this problem of the video (and sound) freezing for a fraction (about 1/2) of a second when the Volume OSD appears, still exists.

However, none of the other OSDs cause this slight "stutter", so the problem seems to be unique to the Volume OSD display.....
