Bug in MyTV on/off and timeshift/record (live.tv bug?)

Looks like i've found a bug, but it's not really sure where the problem lays.

Basic software info:

Win XP Pro with SP2 (Dutch)
.Net 1.1 + fix and .Net 2.0 (both Dutch)

Official latest Asus drivers for Motherboard
Official latest Hauppage drivers for PVR 150MCE
Official latest drivers voor Leadtek GeForce 4 4200 card

No additional hardware except ofcourse 2x 256mb ram, 80GB Maxtor 7200 8MB harddisk and a pioneer 106D DVD writer.

Quick case description:
With autotune, i find all the tv channels.
In MP, i can't turn on/off MyTV.

If i put an empty "live.tv" file in the "card1" directory and make it read only, then i can swith MyTV on and off, but can't record or timeshift.

If i don't make the "live.tv" file read-only, then MP removes the file when startup and i can't turn on/off MyTV again..

I can also not switch on my TV any more after todays CVS. (sadly not made a backup before :-(

Also
- After the CVS I needed to configure my FireDTV card again.
- If I try to change my default channel I get that there is no video card available to show this channel.
- MP hangs after some clicking in the TV menu

I am not sure if this makes any sense but I am sure I only updated the TVdatabase with time-zone (button in MP/TV setup) and now the TV is working again!

It sounds illogical (to me) but this is the second time that I can not switch on TV and had hangups in the TV menu of what appears to be a EPG problem. The first time was after installation of RC2.

Hi,
I use PVR150MCE with the latest MP & cvs without any problem.
The driver for pvr that I use is the latest for MCE devices http://www.hauppauge.com/pages/support/support_mce.html

Ronilse, could you be so kind and check if the "card1" directory (where the recorded files are placed) is readonly at your place and what files are in that directory?

Hi,
I can put the card1 (MP makes this folder when you select a place to store) folder everywhere I want on whatever disk I have.
The live.tv is only 7 kb & there is a TempSBE folder where the live stream is in. The folder is read only.
You could try www.ccleaner.com to clear out errors from registry, to see if that helps.

Somehow, the live.tv file is removed every time i start/close media portal.

Hi,
The live.tv file it's removed when not in use. I can send the file to you but it will be removed when MP starts /stops & TV not in use.

ill make it read only

But i just want to test something, because when i start MP, then i can't turn mytv on or off. As soon as i place an empty live.tv file in the "card1" directory and make it read only, then mytv works.... whichs is weird.

Now i want to test it with an actual live.tv file, that's why i needed yours.
