| Area: Media Portal Program MediaPortal Version: 0.2.0.0 RC2 (2005-12-31) MediaPortal Skin: mce Windows Version: Windows XP (SP2) .NET CLR Version: 2.0.50727 DirectX Version: 4.09.00.0904 (9.0c) Audio Codec: MPEG/AC3/DTS/LPCM Audio Decoder Video Codec: Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II Decoder CPU Type: Intel Pentium 4 - 2.80GHz Memory: 2 GB Motherboard: 085Ch (Hewlett-Packard) TV Card Model: Hauppauge PVR 350 TV Card Type: Hardware TV Card Driver: - Video Card Model: Nvidia Geforce4 TI 4800 SE (128 MB) Video Card Driver: - Video Card Resolution: 800x600 Video Render Type: VMR9 Audio Card Model: SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio Audio Card Driver: - Synopsis:: If MP is minimized to tray, changes are made in the MP setup application, MP does not restart (only exits) even though MP setup offers to restart MP. Try this: 1) Activate the MP Setup application - General setting - Minimize to tray on GUI exit, and then exit the MP setup application. 2) launch MP, and "exit" MP (et now minimizes to the system tray). Enter the MP setup application and make some (random) changes. On exiting the MP setup application, you're prompted whether you want to restart the MP application for the changes to take effect. 3) Clicking yes makes the MP application quit, however you have to restart it manually. Verified on an independent computer (same MP version, different nVidia card, otherwise the same config). If the MP application is running but not minimized - exiting the MP setup application with a "yes" actually does restart the MP application succesfully, so the bug is related only to the app being "minimized to systray". Kind regards, Jesper |

| Portal Member | I can confirm this bug. Possibly related to this: when exiting from minimized MP on tray, mediaportal.exe someimes stays active. Then there is no icon anymore on the system tray, but it is visible as process in Windows Task Manager.
