Default RC3: TV not working after resume from standby

funny ... when RC2 came out it took a few CVSses before that worked. Seems to be the same story once again ...

- uninstalled MP
- installed RC3, installed CVS from 25.3.
- configured everything
- TV basically works ...

Now I send the PC to standby and then I wake it up ... MP is not more working properly.

I tried different scenarios. Sending it to sleep with Hardware-button and with MP's inbuild function. I did it from fullscreen as well as from TV menu. I got different results: black screen, wrong formatted screen and so on. There is no combination that works ...

Anybody else? Any idea?

 [disappointed ... always the same errors again + again]

thanks&regards

Hi,

You probably don’t want me to answer  , but we are looking at issues like this in test group, so it could be fine to know if it works with Hibernation (either from Windows or MP).

Both Suspend & Hibernation works on my computer now, after enabling Powerscheduler plugin with force Shutdown.

Regards
Roy

to ronilse:
it's ok, you are Special Ed now - you are allowed to talk to me!

[ATTENTION! That was IRONY! Please do NOT Comment!!] 8)

I will put it in the Bug-Forum but first of all I ask the forum. Maybe s.b. knows what to do. That's the easiest way for everybody.

To powerscheduler: I read very often postings that refer to powerscheduler in combination with shutdown/standby issues. But in my opinion powerscheduler is a plugin that is not related anyhow with MP's base functions. I would be very surprised if core-MP when beeing told to go to standby would check the settings of the plugin powerscheduler. Correct me if I am wrong!

to Paranoid Delusion:
what the hell is "Fred's plugin"?

thanks&regards

Special Eds should know what "Fred's plugin" is.
That's the Power Scheduler that was originaly developed by Fred.
A while before your were even a Portal Numpty.

I thought the "please do not comment" would help ...

(by the way: I was not a "numpty" ... the new titles have been introduced when I already was "darkside"!)

thanks&regards

well, I did

- activate powerscheduler
- set "forced shutdown"
- tried it again

and there was no change. (I did expect nothing else ... as said ...)

thanks&regards

ok - I tested some more ...

It comes back in MP home.

It does not come back when having put to sleep from TV home. It is the same effect as from fullscreen:

- black picture
- no sound
- after pressing escape and waiting 5 seconds a fullscreen picture comes up but to small (1/2 of screen) and moved to the left. The colours of this picture seem to be to less (like 256 colours or so)

no difference if I do that hard (button of PC) or soft (programmed MP function on remote).

thanks&regards

Default Confirmed

Koschel and i have been after this issue for weeks and now we have been able to prove that this is caused by MediaPortal and not by the drivers of the TV Card.

As workaround you can use PVR-Scheduler.
Read my test scenario in the Mantis Bugreport for further info how to get MP to work after resume from hibernate,
