Hi all,

I have a question to the devs or moderators:

There are two bugs/problems that (at least in my eyes) are basic functions that should be given a high priority. But neither in "MP Changelog", nor in "Mantis", nor in "Testteam Bugreports" I can see that anybody is working on this issues.

These issues are:

- Problems after standby/hibernate. Currently we are having 4 different active threads regarding black screen and/or remote control problems after rebooting or hibernating.

- DVD navigation issues. I am currently having 1 of 3 DVD's that I can not play. Either the picture just freezes and I must kill MP or I can not navigate using the remote control. And I am not alone as I know from the different forums. The last activity in the corresponding thread in Bugreports is from June.

I would be interested if somebody is taking care of these problems or not. And if what the plan is.

I am still killing and restarting MP after every standby and I am still using an external palyer (VLC) for DVD's - that is frustrating. Please don't take me wrong ... I just want to know if somebody takes care. :?

(All of you that don't have this problems -> please don't tell us. We know that these problems don't occur on every configuration. Thank you.)

For the navigation issues there is a fix which helped me great. If the dvd's have a static background they work, if the background is moving navigation didnt work.

The fix is: Turn off the Dxva in the config settings.

really nice - I installed stable patch 4 and inserted 1 DVD and MP hangs ...

... that is really frustrating.

I have had some problems with DVD playback as well. In the meantime I have set up PowerDVD so I can use that instead. It would be nice to have it working in MediaPortal, but I am sure it will be fixed eventually so I am happy to work around it for the moment.

My MCE remote does not work together with any of my alternative DVD players. So my workaround is currently very crude ... I am using my old remote (Hauppauge) to control VLC (which is running as external player).

Does anybody know if there is a DVD software that is NATIVELY supported by the MCE remote (not by HIP)?
