so, i knock off workin'....for today. my 2.5mm drill has broken, which was the perfect one for the M3 thread drill.
so tomorrow I've to buy anotherone (better two :-)) . then I will finish the poles which have hold the fins.

the fins had made a little progress. I pressed them together and drilled three 6mm holes for the poles ( wow, I'am a poet)...
afterwards I made the curve with a "big dremel" = angle grinder and did the finishing with a file and sandpaper.

well...next step was to screw in the poles for the fins and to find out whether my scratch was correct...and it was.

Thereafter I put the fins on the poles to find out the needed distances between the fins. (7.0 mm)
Next step was to find out whether I can order any material with this 7.0 mm thickness to keep the distance between the fins. Finally I've found some proper nuts and I am going to glue the fins onto the poles by means of 2k epoxy.

Well, here is the picture of the first buildup of the enclosure's left side to get an idea of the final set.

yeahh, and the front plate in pink and abit of black....

yohooo, meanwhile I got the blu-ray drive and so I was able to keep on wth the work.

here's ther list what I've done:

- bent the heatpipes properly ( by means of a a spring, which is for bending of tubes)
- put em into the block
- sandpapered and polished the CPU block
- drank a beer
- sandpapered and polished a 6mm copper plate, which is on top of the cooler and holds the "emergency" pwm-fan
- cut the fins for the right side
- mounted and glued the fins on the left side
- produced a mess

next steps on the weekend, when i fit the fins to the heatpipes I'll come up with some new pix.

I wish I'd had one of these when fitting out my mCubed, a couple of my bends are not exactly perfect.

hmm seems i have to make my own thread for our TV-Service-Server-Project ? ...

next time you come to me - you have to bring in that new enclosure ... so i can have alook in real live on it ...

in return -- i 'll make the HW list for your Server ;-) including the new wiring in your own house ---

yes,do so...i'm keen on it...and re the HW and wiring..erm, yeah come along for that project.

this evening I modified the psu wiring coz it was a 20 pin atx and I need a 24. But I didnt like that bulky adaptors, so i disassemled the 20 pin an added a 4 pin .

yezz, got the right side ready. must say I was a bit worried whether I can do as I had planned.

so iI did it very slowly an thought twice before any failure could happen.

here's the short list what I've done today and some new pix.

- did a test setup with the cooler and the fins
- pressed M4 nuts into the mobo-backplate( fit perfectly...dunno whom to thank for it..)
- drilled the copper plate
- drank a beer
- thought over it again
- drank another beer
- glued the fins, the pipes ...yeah ready.

Now I will order the front- and top-plate. They are gonna be made by a company with pro cnc milling machines.
I can't handle 4mm alloy.

Well, next steps for me are to construct a hdd-cage and to finish the backplate.
