| Despite everyone advicing against intel p4, I went that route for my HTPC... SilverStone Lascala LC11M, Silver Asus P5LD2-VM, i955G, LGA775, Dual Core Pentium4 Prescott 630, 3.0GHz, S775 Kingston DDR2 512MB, DDR2-667 Zalman ZM-CS1, Socket 775 Clip Support Zalman CNPS7000B-Cu SilverStone SST-RC01 PCI-E Riser Card NEC ND-3540, DVD±RW, Silver Will be using Samsung harddrive, ATI 550 analog tv tuner and Terratec DVB-T tuner. Hopefully, it will all work out. Will report once the hardware is in house :-) I am using Media Portal right now, as it seems to be the only one supporting all my hw (sort of) regards Knut Inge |

| Good luck! I've got an AMD Athlon 3000+ in this case, and it's fairly noisy. Let us know how you go with noise, and what you've done to quieten it down. Cheers, Alex. |

| p4 is the best cpu for high quality video. I recomand you to find a guide how to use: ffdshow: for imaqe quality (needs Mhz, therfor intel is better than amd) reclock: if you have have pal tv ntsc movies wil be speeded up to match pal and the movie wil go more smooth. powerstrip: to get the correct resolution and refresh rate. I guess correct resolution wil increese picture quality and i know refresh rate should match fps, so the movie goes smoother. If you understand norwegian I have a great guide for you.
