Default My upcoming system

Howzit guys,

Just busy with my first HTPC.

It needs to be able to play HD content but i dont want to buy a BR player just yet (price will drop pretty soon without the competition of HD dvd). It also should be good enouth to play a few games.

This is the setup i've got in my head, any comments or suggestions?

Case: Antec Fusion Black,Zwart or Thermaltake VF1000BNS, Black with some PSU
MoBo: GigaByte GA-MA78GM-S2H
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 4850E BOXED
GPU: Asus EAH3650 SILENT/HTDI/512M,DDR3M in crossfire combo with the Build-in GPU
HDD: Samsung Spinpoint P80, 160 GB, 7200 (dont need a realy big hdd, got on TB on my main pc)
RAM: Kingston KVR667D2E5K2/2G, 2048 MB
WiFi: Asus WL-138G v2

Have not yet chosen a tv tuner because i dont know wich one to get for digital tv from casema in holland....
Also have not yet made up my mind about a mouse/keyboard, any suggestions are welcome

Cheers!

I'd go for the WD GP HDD (lots of abbreviations ). Reviews I've read says this is by far the most silent 3.5" disk ever made

A good choice for a tv tuner to use with Casema would be the FloppyDTV together with AlphaCrypt works great!
To get other ideas for your setup you should view my setup (in my signature below) because it's very similar..

Also for what you want (from what I can read in your post) you don't need the extra gfx card as the onboard gpu is more then enough for HD, unless you are planning to play games than it would make more sense to have the extra power

Scythe mini-nijna cooler without the fan instead of the boxed one with your CPU.. the CPU don't get hot at all..
Actually the 4850E was my first choice but was not available at the time.

even after overclocking my BE-2400 (it now runs faster than the 4850E default ) the CPU stays around 23 degrees idle, and full load between 30 and 40 degrees. So i would say no problem at all

Link for the FloppyDTV: FLOPPYDTV/C - Digital Everywhere FloppyDTV
Look below the productpage ("Aanvullende producten voor Digital Everywhere FloppyDTV") to get the AlphaCrypt
