| Up to this point i've been running my htpc at 1920x1080 on a 65 inch display. Everything is great when watching HD content but lately i've been into a few different TV series that are normal tv captures are taken from dvds i have. The captures are about as good of quality as they can be given the source but are a little blocky on that size display. That got me to thinking....what resolution do folks run your htpc at? |

Country: | I have mine at 800x600 stretched out to 16:9. It's the only thing my plasma will handle properly. Everything looks pretty damned good, DVB-T is better than a couple of set top boxes i've tried. I don't have any HD content, and don't bargain on any for at least another couple of years. |

Country: | I'd run at the native resolution of the TV. If your TV supports 1920x1080 then use that. But in your codec configuration, enable post processing to reduce the video artifacts. |
