Default iPodSync Beta

Beta version of an iPod sync plugin for MP.

Gets a list of saved playlists in MP, when selected should be copied to the iPod.

Also has a button to eject the iPod.

Please try out and feedback... iPod broke so can't test.. thanks..

*.dll in the windows plugin folder
*.xml in the BlueTwo Skin folder

Could you make the source available? I just wanted to see what method you used. Thanks for the work.

Some more informations please. I haven't got itunes installed on my htpc and dont wanna mess it up since i have a solution which is more or less working. (See here: http://forum.team-mediaportal.com/sh...88&postcount=4)

Which direction does it sync? Ipod->HTPC or vice versa or both?

I really wanted to try this last night, but had no opportunity, so I really don't know; if it runs off the Apple iPod API, it is likely only from HTPC to iPod, not the other way.

Not wanting to hijack this thread with the topic, I opened up another one about what the policy should be on copying music off DAPs onto the local machine. It is located here: Copying from iPod policy

Hi,

Marshal, code attached.. go easy, needs lots of sorting out before I release it properly, ideally the methods I've created should be moved to a seperate itunes wrapper class to et rid of the reuse.. least that was the plan.

Only syncs from mp to an ipod using itunes.. so needs itunes installed..

Was away for the weekend so didn't see these messages.

Anybody tested it... I'm keen to develop this further so any request or feedback would be appreciated.

thanks

How does the plugin get the Ipod ID?

I got a USB connected 4G and the plugin cant eject the ipod, I can in windows and MP can read the files on the iPod.

So where does the Ipod plugin get the connected info from ?
