Version 0.1 has been uploaded and is awaiting approval. Also, the source code is very dirty and I am working on cleaning it up. Check the first post for detailed instructions.

great work!!!

Do you think it would be possible to add the ability to add downloads to sabnzb running on a different machine? My htpc doesn't run sabnzb. My server does.

I have never used USENET, but from what I googled it looks interesting.

Could someone elaborate what USENET is and what this plugin + USENET can "provide" me?

For me it looks almost like USENET is a P2P protocol (like torrent) and that this plugin can directly stream/play media - correct? (If so, I am a happy camper )

The Usenet is something like a very, very, very big bulletin board. In "former times" it has been one the most used services of the internet, but today most user don't know it :-/
There are newsservers with thousands and thousands of newsgroup, with are sorted hierarchically and where you can talk about every topic you every wanted. But there are also so called binary groups, where you can download or upload binaries (pictures, programmes, songs, movies, ...).

Google provides a webinterface for the Usenet (and call it "groups") at http://groups.google.com/
But normally you access the Usenet via a newsreader - most mailclients also can access the Usenet. And it's much easier to follow discussions in the Usenet than on webboards like vBulletin. You can ignore subthreads, write rules (e.g. if sender is "john doe" give 50 points. if points >= 50 set color to yellow) and so on.

For more information see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Usenet

You can already do that. What you'll need to do though is open up SABnzbd's control panel (the web based one) and go to config->General and change the host from 127.0.0.1 to that computers NAT IP. Kill SAB and restart it. That will make SAB accessible to other computers on your network. Then share its folder and specify that folder and IP address in My Usenet setup. That should work for you.

This won't stream it. That would require being able to play the contents of rar files on the fly without unpacking. For the most part you are correct, though. This is more of a nice pretty interface that allows you to download from 10 feet away. If you realize you missed a certain show or you want to see a certain (non-Copyright ed) movie then you can go ahead and grab it while sitting on your couch.

I'm really not sure why that would be happening. I didn't specify an image for it to use. I'll definitely look into it though, thanks.

then its realy weird.

I tried clearing the cache folder and that didnt work
and when i rename the hover_my_minesweeper.png the problem is gone, but when i name it back again the plugin is using the file again.

Maby you could add hover image support to the plugin, so we can specify the file we do want to be used.
