Country: | Hi there. I'm developing a new process plugin that sits on the background waiting for a bluetooth transfer to come and notifies you when one is received. Download version 0.1 at http://www.team-mediaportal.com/file...lities/MyObex/ Last edited by ec-blaster; 2007-05-16 at 10:17. |

Country: | Nice idea! This will come in very handy for me! I'm having a little trouble getting this to run however. Does this depend on a pre-existing Bluetooth stack? I use Bluesoleil right now and don't particular want to change (Wii remote stuff mostly ;P) or is it it's own independent stack? If so, what about hardware compatibility? Can you use any sort of hardware with this? Moreover, file extensions. Do the extensions require the . in the extension (ie. .jpg instead of jpg) or does it work with both? What about file types that aren't defined? Where do they go? Can there be an option to send it to a "default" folder? The idea behind this is great, especially the categories option. I hope this takes off, as Bluetooth and a HTPC sound like they go hand in hand ;D ![]() |

Country: | Hi. As the plugin is based on a previous library ("32 feet.NET"), it only works if the bluetooth device you have attached to your PC uses the Microsoft Bluetooth stack. I've been reading their forums and it seems in the future they could support Widcomm too, as Widcomm has released a free SDK. In the meanwhile, I'm looking for an alternative free API that supports both stacks (or Widcomm only, as MS's is covered by now). File extensions:
I'll take the idea of the configurable default folder. ![]() |

| Portal Member | Hi, why when a send a file with my Nokia N70 the file is placed in c:\ ? I see that at the end of the file extension a strange character (es. Sunfun.mp3). I tried to put the character in the configurazion but don't change nothing. Is it possible to chagne the time of the message (2 or 3 second)? Renato |
