Hello everybody,,

in the progress of messing around with the myPrograms-plugin, as waebaerd stopped developing it..Just signalling so that if someone else are doing the same thing we could join forces=)

First version will be released when it's done.. but some things fixed so far are-
- allgame lookup rewritten
- threading issue. ie mp freezes after exit of programs
- major code cleanup, some restructuring, reduntant code rem,net 2.0 etc.
- some new mame options (skipmahjong games etc)
- misc bugs fixed (and maybe some introduced=)
- some gui changes/ to make it easier for new users

still some things to do, and so little time, so don't expect it too soon.

TODO before first release:
alphabetical grouping etc to database views
some more restructuring.

Excellent news, I have one mre request then:
auto mount iso using deamon tools for an app.

That would allow me to share iso's of my game instead of mounting the cd's.

For what I know that only works for My Videos plugin. It allows mounting of DVD iso's for example.
But In the My programs plugin there is no way to setup what iso to mount and dismount before launching a program.
Unless I am totally missing something ;-)

Frankly, My Programs never worked for me, and I don't understand why, even as a simple file launcher. It would search through ALL my MAME ROMs (I have a full set), and back when I didn't have a full set, it wouldn't just show every game, only those I had. So I know it worked, at least in terms of seeing my ROMs and all, but it wouldn't launch MAME.

All I want is a easy and simple way to launch games and other applications, and the Daemon Tools suggestion is a very good feature that I'd like to see added as well. I'll do whatever I can to help, but I'm no programmer. Email me, or msg me on IRC in the MP channel, my name there is _Spekkio_

I would really like if the MyEmulator plugin and this could be combined, because of its nice graphical display with logos.

I am still seeing an issue mentioned in the opening post as fixed:
MP freezes on program exit. I have tried a couple of different SVNs (currently MediaPortal-svn--05-31-2007--01-01-Rev14765.exe) with the same results.
Also, in the Plugins section of MePo Setup, My Programs has both display in main menu and in plugins checked, but it appears only in plugins.
I only use it to launch one program (Kodak EasyShare), but it takes several clicks to get there.

These crashes are solved by disabling animated menus.
But yeah would be nice if this revival of this plugin can solve that too, would be nice to enable them again ;-)
