The background process has been developed and the GUI is being started. The developer has been tied up with many other projects but this MP plugin will be coming to light soon.

Mike's right, I'm working on it and he helped out a lot with the process plugin. Any sparetime that I get is placed towards the GUI portion and I'm slowly plugging away at it.

Hi all,

for those of you waiting for some news, here it is. I plan on releasing the source code and plugins the first week of Janurary 2007. I will be providing Mike a beta of the GUI portion Jan 2 and hopefully there won't be anything major to stop a release.

I will be releasing two plugins.

The first plugin is a process plugin. It sets up a background process in MP to go out and download the movie information, posters and trailers and creates an XML file with that data. The actual plugin calls another application created by Keymaster from Meedio fame. This application does all the grunt work, I just wrap some pretty configuration stuff around it and integrate into MP.

The second plugin is the actual GUI. Right now, it's only based on the MePo Green Wide screen, I will work on Blue Two but after I do the initial release. I've attached some screen shots.

Mike and I are working through some final things before initial release. I also need to get the WAF tested out on the weekend.

Watch for a new topic called myShowTimes on Jan 31.

Mike has been extremely helpful in testing out the plugins. I can't thank him enough for that.
