New plugin: Syndication

I'm currently working on a new plugin called 'Syndication'. Goal of this plugin is to make it easy to manage and read RSS feeds through MediaPortal. The MP News plugin allows you to read feeds ofcourse but i think presentation can be improved. Also this plugin lacks Ticker support.

My RSS Ticker does what the name suggests but nothing more. It would be great to be able to specify multiple feeds that can be turned into a ticker individually. This way you are able to have a news headline ticker on the BasicHome, a movie news ticker on the movie screen and so forth.

Because it is in a very early stage of development this is the time for suggestions and feature requests. So please let me know what you think about this idea and what you think could make this a nice addition to the MP plugin stack.

Well, have been thinking about features but couldn't really come up with any besides the obvious such as:

- will this plugin support images in rss feeds (from html <img> tags)?
- HTML breaks to linebreak support?
- Some interface to strip adds and common stuff from feeds, probably regex based

This may be beyond the scope of what you're doing. But, I think it would be pretty cool to be able to also have something like a Latest Additions "feed". So, for example, in the "My Music" window the ticker would be scrolling the latest music news, but also have the latest folders (which would be CDs) based on Date Modified as a sort of pseudo-feed.

Innovative title... I'd like to have the ability to decide the what the plugins should be called when viewed in MP, though ...

I have a request; In MP right now all that scrolls past is the "heading" of the RSS news I selected, and from many sources those don't tell you a lot without the rest of the text.. Like this one: "Number one! - Arsenal has beaten man utd once again" (where I now would only see the first "Number one!", and that tells me nothing).

Could be presented with the heading in bold, followed by a ":" or something. Might even make it configurable

I'm very busy at the moment so development on this plugin is going slow. But i'm still working on it!

When they click news in rss , MP plugin opens the web browser page of the rss in the MP and with remote control you are able to zoom to web page and move around, then when you close the browser, MP screen comes back. I think, in the video, Presenter is
