Hi all..
I have tried MediaPortal. I am VERY impressed so far.
I am currently running two MCE rigs, but i want to migrate to something better and MP seems like the best contender.

However, i have searched in a lot of places but cannot find the answers i need .

Basically, i have a plugin on my MCE rigs called 'My Movies'.
It holds my DVD collection.

Now, within this plugin, there is an option called SERIES\BOX SET . This allows you to catalog you BOX SETS in an orderly fashion. For example, within MCE, you would select ( depending how its configured )MY MOVIES --> TV SERIES --> SEINFELD ( for eg ) --> SEASON --> DISC Number --> PLAY

Does anyone know if its at all possible with MP ?
This is the only thing keeping me away at the moment.

there are several possibilities to do at least something similar:

1) this could be done with the shares with viewing it with the Movie database

2) there is a plugin caklled 'MyTv series, currently still under developement though

3) there is the Myfilms plugin using the AntMovie Databse

3) There is the MyDVD's Plugin using several DVD-colletcion-outputs.

you should take a look at those to determin what fits your needs the most

Have looked at it... too many options and too complicated... doesn't seem to do the job ....

Couldn't even get it to work at all in MP 0.1.3 . Doesn't show up anywhere..

MP 0.1.3 ????

You should really use the newest release 0.2 RC4

MANY things changed since 0.1.3, altough the RC4 is not final, it's pretty much near it and a lot of things are improved, enhanced or fixed....

Maybe you come along better with the new version.

i'd like to, but because i am stuck in bed due to a bad back, i can only use a laptop. 0.2.0 doesn't work because of VGA adaptor which is not compatible with VMR9.

Is there something i can read to show me a list of changes from 0.1.3 to 0.2.0 ?
