Problem opening MediaPortal.sln

i get an error while opening the MediaPortal.sln in visual studio 6:
"The selected file is not a valid visual studio solutions file"

what's the problem?
i downloaded it using TurtioseCVS straight from sourceforge..

Visual Studio 6 != Visual Studio .Net 2003

ya i thought that might be the problem..
the prob is that its a 3.5 GB DVD... hehe..
