Samsung 16T202DA1E VFD Support Plugin

Samsung 16T202DA1E VFD is plugged into a usb header on my motherboard.

Is there a plugin which supports this VFD ?

I have enabled the "External Display" plugin however there is no Samsung 16T202DA1E USB in the list. This VFD came already installed in my HTPC case.

Hi.

I also do have a Samsung VFD exactly the same model 16T202DA1E . It came with the Ahanix MCE 303 box. It works perfectly with the Windows Media Center software using the IRTrans driver. Though I'd like to use it with MediaPortal.

Do you know finally what module should I use in the External Display plugin.

Samsung 16T202DA1E is the display module... IRTrans is the display controller...

the CybrDisplay plugin will drive this display... It is available HERE

You will want to use the "(LCDHype) IRTrans Driver v1.0"...

Hello. I've downloaded the driver and installed it. But still does not work. I've read the whole thread and can't find anything that gives me a clue.

Instead of permanently showing the message "AHANIX MEDIA CENTER" (two lines), now it shows de word "Mediacenter" (notice it does not say "Media Portal").

Anybody has the same display I do? I'm surely missing some config, but there's so little documentation that I don't know what to do. Well I'm talking about doc in the Media Portal project, not only this driver.

Thanks for your help. I think this is the right direction to get things working. Thank you very much. I just need a little bit more. I can post my logs, if that helps.

If you installed the driver and READ the thread... you would know that you need to post the logs so that you can receive help.

I'll be glad to help you out... but you need to post the logs, and details of the problem, and questions in the thread for the plugin.

Hi there,

have the same setup - when accessing it by the LCDHype-Driver it´s working and I can set different texts for example. When running the plugin and Mediaportal - nothing is happening - except the same reaction described above saying "... Mediacenter". I had a look at the log file - from what I can see there everything is being set properly - but no effect on the display.

Any idea?
