support for external LCD Display 4x27 HD44780

Hi,

I've got a LC Display with 4x27 character http://www.pollin.de/shop/shop.php?c...a=NzY3OTc4OTk=

The hardware connection is via LTP:


In jaLCD and LCDSmartie i get all 4 lines but in MediaPortal i have only the first and second line.

Have someone and idea?

I Use Joe's LCD driver in MP external display plugin with 27 x 4 character.

As you can find somewhere here the default xml generated only has 2 lines. You can edit the ExternalDisplay.xml with a text editor and add additional lines. I did it and it works perfect (although you must be "carefull" with all the tags/commands/values used beacuse a broken file will not work any longer - so make a copy of the original file first). If you use the prperty browser you see which commands can be shown on what menu.
