Lol it's fine now I realised had to tick the plugin in tvserver setup! Couple of things you're pboably already aware of:

The colour status doesn't match the 'tooltip' ie its yellow at the moment which suggests its grabbing epg but it says its idle when roll mouse over!

Also I know it's not intended for this but would be nice to add 'start TV server configuration' 'Refresh EPG' and maybe 'Restart tv service' all as right mouse click options?

Thnaks

Basically:
Start Menu -> Run -> services.msc -> right click on the TVService -> Properties -> Logon -> Allow service to interact with the desktop

That should do it.
oh no it did'nt (pantomime mode)

cannot get the plugin to show up on desktop, enabled in TVServer\plugins, TVService "allowed to interact with desktop" but no icon in systray, as i said this is admin account (only account) Vista Ultimate 32bit.

Standalone monitor seems to work fine, even in a single seat setup, might be of use to someone with same issue, but frustrating why plugin will not work.

Thanks Aaron for all your work on various projects.

Hey guys,

I'll update this and the standalone version in the next couple of days. I'll add some more context menu options and try to make it easier to setup.

Cheers,

I also get this random crash of the monitor in the stand-alone version. Has there been any update to it that I missed? I find it very useful to know the status of my media PC.

Default TVServer Monitor any update

Hi Aaron

Good news

Latest install still running after six hours, would it be possible to do a M$ job and show what programs it is actually recording, same as MCE icon does.

Seems whatever was causing the consistant 2 hour crash has been fixed by M$, so far so good.

Cheers
