Default VB.NET Plugin Writing Tutorial

As I stated in another post, I was going to rewrite jadz's C# plugin writing tutorial for VB.NET people, so here it is! It is a rewrite, so there is no new stuff yet...

Check it out at:

p.s. MP team, do you want to add this to your documentation page as well?

Great!

Another "big" manual :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

I get "SetColor selector operator" errors while opening it. Any idea??
It seems to be something on the first page as I can view the other pages without problems...

Hmm... interesting, because I can view it using Acrobat 5 and Acrobat Reader 5.1 within Mozilla Firefox on different computers... what version Acrobat are you using? Have you tried downloading it again? I made it using Acrobat 5, so there shouldn't be any problems...

Here's an example of a plugin that is written in VB.net:

SourceForge.net Repository - [mp-plugins] View of /trunk/plugins/musictrivia/MusicTrivia/Class1.vb

That should help you.

@jburnette,

perfect, that makes it much easier for those who are more familar with VB

btw, there is a nice tool for C# to VB.Net conversion. Of course the converted code has to be modified a bit but most of the code will be translated correctly.

I tried the sample plugin code from the documentation and compiled it successfully with SharpDevelop.
