I just gave KNC DVB-c with CI another try, same issue here.

Everything is running though under Sceneos' TVC.

cheers

Could it be that Sceneos' TVC is using the WDM driver to control the card and CI? I checked the KNC driver homepage and found this:

KNC ONE BDA Driver

...the CineView modul does not work...

I will try to contact the KNC support, perhaps they are going to help us... who knows...

TVC works with both BDA and WDM drivers.
I think what KNC says is that you need to modify the software accordingly, to get the Ci working with the BDA drivers.
BUT, I thought that was already done some months ago, I thought tourette did those changes.
It never worked, though.

So TVserver is not able to work with a CI module with the BDA drivers? I see some entries in the log stating a "wintv CI module", perhaps it does not recognise the CI module?

I am at work right now, will upload logfiles when I get home

Somewhere on the KNC ONE site it says, that the BDA driver fully supports the CineView CI module and that it's only a matter of the software using the BDA driver.

I was also using TVC for years because of the better CI support (I had/have a KNC ONE DVB-S(2) card + CineView CI Module too), but... well let's just say I never "liked" TVC so I finally switched over to MediaPortal and bought a FloppyDTV S2 in order to be able to use a CI Moduel with MediaPortal.

Some news:

1. The KNC One support answered my eMail and they sent me a newer version of the BDA driver beta release.

2. I did some tests with the same negativ result, but I observed something strange:

If I use the TV Server Manual Control mode and select the channel "Das Erste" the GUI marks this channel wrongly as FTA:False (see picture). But if you check the tvserver_tv.log (e.g. line 14) the channel is correctly marked as FTA:True.

Could this be one of the problems?

I have attached the new drivers

After the driver installation should be done this here:

1. Open (install) GlobeTV
2. Start a Channel
3. Go to the CI menu
4. Disable the parental lock (??? Jugendschutz ???)
5. Disable all Messages from the CI

Now should the CI work with the TVS3...(!?)

Only, i cant test this on my setup because i have massively problem with my KNC1 - i can only get channels from the Hotbird satellite with my Disec simpleA/B setup... no chance for the moment to get a signal from Astra 19.2 where is my premiere CI

My 2 FireDTVs working fine

In the CI menu I can only see a couple of choices, none of them are the parent lock and when I open 1 item, the screen closes and no results. Am at work again, so can't make a ss.

I just tried that.
In the CI Menu the Parental Lock was already disabled.
In Tv Server the scrambled channels just can't be tuned >"Channel is scrambled"

So no change, unfortunately.
