Exactly - we need a wife/girlfriend mode hah. One button to turn the tv on, one button to turn the tv off, channel up down, volume. That's it. It would save me the hassle of trying to teach people how to use my pvr every single time.

A quick example of a simplistic epg banner:

Timeshift on all available cards.
I'd like to be able to pause one channel then flick channels on another card watch a bit pause on that card flick back to the original card and resume watch hit an add and pause again flick back to the other card and resume that etc etc. I gather if all your channels are on one transponder eg via satelite this is posible via the TV server. Using my 2 DVB-T cards I can record 1 show and flick on another card; record 2 shows or only flick on one card you can't Timeshift on 2 cards which would be nice for a channel surfing obsessed wife.

I'm not sure how you get it to decide when to change channels and when to change cards? Maybe only change cards if it paused? Or offer a prefference for multiple cards to "On Channel Change" --> "Pause Card 1" --> "Change channel Up/Down on Card 2"
--> "On Channel Change Up/Down where Ch <> Ch Card 1"-->"Change channel Up/Down on Card 2"
--> "On Channel Change Up/Down where Ch = Ch Card 1"-->"Pause Card 2" --> "Resume on Card 1"

"All Cards Timeshifting"--> "Ask change channel from
"Card 1 (Currently watching "ER 75% complete - 15min behind Live)" or on
"Card 2 (Currently watching "Hereos 25% complete - 45min behind Live)" or
"Cancel channel change."

I just think it's a bit silly you can't timeshift on two cards at once. I realise different people will have different opinions about when to TS & when to Change but that could be a preference.

Thanks to all the Developers for the Great work you all put into this project.

Default Browsing for "entertainment"

A very simple (but difficult) suggsetion:

Have only one "database" of information, hiding the differences of IP TV, Live TV, Recorded TV, Movies, DVDs, VCDs, Trailers, Audio Books as well as Radio, IP-Radio, Customized IP Radio, Music Files, Music Videos (from the various sources), Web Pages, Wikipedia entries, Tetris or other built-in games, external games or emulators, ....................

So what I would like is a single "browsing" interface for "What do I want to do now".

But this is not a change to the TV part, but to all of MP.

Lightbulb Widget, Widget, Widget !!!

Make Mediaportal home screen "widget-able"

Current home screen is total flat, no info is provided.

I need to know:
- Upcominig/Next Recording
- Free Disk Space
- Forecast
- ecc

Also trasform home screen menu in widget like Mac OSX dock that leaves more space for widgets in home screen.

So, everyone can customize your home screen

I think something like this http://widgets.yahoo.com/

Lightbulb My Tv client port as oppossed to redesign

I have 2 XBMC's I use for Music and Video, as well as a My TV server I use for delivering live tv to 2 wireless laptop's.

I would like to see My Tv on XBMC to complete my Multimedia solution.

My ideas for tvserver/mytv

-Start-up command parameter for instant TV (no menu’s)
-service menu with pincode for advanced settings en options
-Better way to stop recording from client (from service menu). Also option to stop recoringstream with multiple tuners
-Delete recorings only from service menu
