Default New global design concept proposal for TV section

Hi everybody!

I think it's a great idea to ask the users for input. I hope you guys can make something usefull out of all the proposals, ideas and concepts.
Anyways, today at work I found some time tolook at it today and I really liked cul8er' s concept. I based my design on it and here is what I came up with. I hope it will give you some usefull ideas.
As soon as I have looked at some more sections I will post my suggestions here.

It's just a quick scetch, so don't look at the primitive buttons and colors, its more a first suggestion for where everything could be placed.

I hope you like it and please let me know what you do and don't like about it and what I should add, leave or redesign.

Hey kkendall,

thx for your concept.

I, generally speaking, like the design of that concept very much. But in my opinion the whole screen is too messed up, there is just too much information on it. I generally like a cleaner design with less options, but I guess that there are just different types of users, ones that like to have as much options visible as possible and the others like me :-)

Regards

Hi Stig,
I understand what you're saying. I am one of those people that wants to be where I want to be as fast as possible. I like getting many options and functions on my screens, as long as it is very structured and built the same way all the time.
Maybe this is because I work a lot with my mouse, so I really love getting many options on one good structured screen.
anyway, thanks for your input!

Well I am fairly sure that on an old widescreen CRT that is not HDready or Full HD, reading this menu will become very hard from a normal viewing distance.
