I love the sound of being able to mark favourite shows / channels (shows would be best!) and have MP display when they are next on. I am always forgetting to watch things that I intend to because I forget they are on!

It would be cool to show any recordings you have made but not yet watched too!

I like the idea of being able to view recorded and also scheduled programmes from the same screen. It's a bit strange at the moment that I have to go to my tv, then scheduled to see scheduled shows but then over to recordings to view my recordings.

Hi allanp81,

Having not been a long-time user of MediaPortal, I can understand your question to a point, however I don't necessarily agree that it's "strange" to have to go to one screen to see recorded shows, then a different screen to see future scheduled recordings. Having been a set-top box/PVR user previously (and having used a few different models) I've not come across any PVR that shows future schedules and previous recordings on the same screen.

Also, I'd have to say that after having setup a whole lot of scheduled recordings, and having stacks of shows recorded already, those two screens are pretty full up on their own - let alone combining them together ..... that would make a fairly crowded screen!

Plus, the other bonus with MediaPortal is that I can map two of my remote control buttons to go directly to either the "Scheduled TV" or "Recorded TV" screens - while on any PVR, I always had to go through about 3 or 4 menu steps to get to where I wanted to go.

Cheers,
Craig
