Country: | I'm sure this must have been asked before, but I can't find anything by searching, probably using the wrong search terms or something. Basically what I'm getting is a single pixel border around the image when I play back any AVI, MKV etc. file. It appears that the rightmost row of pixels is either getting copied, to the leftmost edge (and vice versa), or it is being swapped. This also affects the top and bottom of the image. It doesn't seem to be tied to any specific codec, I tried switching from the built-in MPV codec to FFDShow and it made no difference, it also affects H.264 files that get decoded with CoreAVC. It doesn't affect BluRay discs that I playback through PowerDVD. This is quite annoying because if one side of the image is significantly brighter for a particular scene, you get an obvious line down the opposite edge. If I had to take a guess I would guess it was something to do with MP rendering the video to a D3D or OGL texture, and it's trying to tessellate that texture, but this is purely a guess, I have no idea how MP is written. This affected me in RC2 and is still affecting me in RC3 MediaPortal Version: 1.0 RC3 MediaPortal Skin: Blue2Wide Windows Version: XP MCE 2005 SP3 CPU Type: Athlon 64 4600+ HDD: Samsung Spinpoint 80gb Memory: 3gb DDR2 Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-K8NS Ultra 939 Video Card: ATI Radeon HD2600 (AGP) Video Card Driver: 8.7 Sound Card: onboard Sound Card AC3: Coaxial 1. Country: | Thanks for that. Installed 8.12 and that sorted it. Installed RC4 too, since they snuck that one out while I wasn't looking. Last edited by Lum; 2008-12-20 at 06:44.. |

Country: | I have this also. HD3200 onboard, Catalyst 8.11 and 8.12. And only in the bottom of picture have a small stripe of the top of the picture (mkv or xvid files only).
