Recently there was a discussion about the fontsize in MediaPortal BlueTwo.

Some of use think that the current fontsize is to small for daily usage in a normal viewing distance.

If you are one of us, then this might be the solution to relax your eyes when using MediaPortal.

I will keep this skin in sync with current MediaPortal svn and release a download version as soon as MediaPortal hits 0.2.3.0 final.

The first download on the Homepage will be released as soon as MediaPortal hits 0.2.3.0 Final.

If you want to use it right away, then follow the steps below:

1. install tortoise svn
2. go to your MediaPortal folder and open the skins folder
3. in there create a BlueTwoBig folder
4. right click that folder and select "checkout"
5. then enter the ::development-version:: link
6. make sure that "only check out the top folder" is de-selected!
7. download the latest version

From now on you only have to use "update" to update the skin.

note:

I know that some would even like a smaller fontsize because they have a huge TV, or a rather short viewingdistance.
But this is for ppl with small TVs, long viewing-distances and/or bad eyes

Great work!!! I also think that the current fontsize is to small for usage at a normal viewing distance. I've been chanceing the sizes myself with mixed results , so this is really good news for me

Still, I would like to see an option in the setup, where you select how many channels the TV guide should view. It's kind of anoying when you only got 5 channels and the same channels are showen twice, with a font so small that you can't really read the text anyway.
This option could make sure that if you select "view five channels in TV guide" they would be better spaced and the fontsize adjusted. This would be a nice feature, I think - works fine without, but still it would be nice.

This looks quite intersting!
Two questions though:
1. The screen shots are 16:10, but it looks like a 4:3 skin, stretched. Which is it?
2. 0.2.3.0 stable release is out but I don't find Blue Two Big under Skins & Plug-Ins. Do I still need to get this from your development link, or is there now a finished 2.3.0 version, or official MP 2.3.0 SVN build?

it is a modification of the the standard blue2 skin. so it is *surpise* also 4:3.
but i use it with 720p on my wide TV-set and i am very happy with it
