| Hi, Does anyone know how to hide the basic home menu button or just stop it from being accessed? I have a menu that i want to stay at (i press the green button on an MCE remote twice and it goes to basic home). Thanks |

| Portal Member | Hi! I don't know if you can disable Basic Home, but you can adjust the mapping of the green Button on the remote. Look in the "Remote" Area of the config program and locate the mapping dialogue for the MCE remote (it's on the first or second sub-page). In the maaping dialogue, locate the entry "Start" or "Startbutton". Yo should see several mappings for this button. It changes to "Home" from any other screen and to "Basic Home" when already on "Home". You simply delete this conditional setting and it will not go to Basic Home anymore. Just made this up from my mind, but it should work like this. Greetings, Stefan

| change its x position and y position to somewhere far off screen, like -1000 by -1000 or something like that. Usually safer than just removing the control completely, removing some controls sometimes cause other things to mess up. Then you'll have to make sure you can navigate with your remote properly. Depending on the skin you are using, there should be onleft, onright and possibly onup and ondown tags for the surrounding buttons. You need to edit these tags for the surrounding buttons to skip over the basichome button entirely when using your remote to navigate. I may not have made that part really clear, so let us know which skin you are using, and i'll post a fix for you. |

Country: | hehe.. had same question myself a while ago - and same "fix". however, the replicant skin makes BHS ver user friendly - so now I want to disable homescreen, but that is a lot worse (no mapping for basic home screen).

| if you want to disable the normal homescreen, just copying basichome.xml into my home.xml and changing the id might work.

Country: | That doesn't work . Is there an other way to disable the normal home screen? I just want to prevent MP from entering the normal home screen when pressing 'h' on the basic home screen.Regards, Simon |

![]() you can have a look at the mapping section in the configuration.exe. maybe you can just un-map that action from "h" ![]()

Country: | I would also like to disable the normal home screen. I hate it and some of the skins has a really good basic home screen which I prefer (however, I would like to do some mods to it so I can still access all functions from basic home). Best would be if you could disable home screen or basic home screen in setup. |

Country: | I'd like this too, but changeing the H function is no good... like to have Monochrome and Aeon as options without going to the config. For the WAF I do not want 2 home screen options... For Aeon I want BasicHome For Monochrome I want Home Would this be possible?
