Just installed it and tried it. I'm impressed!
You should remove the packedgfx files from you download package. These files are created when the skin is used for the first time.

Hopefully changes to the skinning engine can be made to enable the full potential of this skin One feature neaded is full contrl of the diretion of text. That feature would also add support for right to left languages.

deleted the files.
deleted the skin.
reinstalled wit the fix, but I stil get this black background when showing files from database.

Maby I do something wrong, but I don't now what.

some one asked how i controlled media portal with XBMC and if it functions exactly the same..... here is how i did it.

I used pinnacle profiler to map the keys exactly like it is in XBMC

however, by default alot of the commands on the keyboard were set up differently.

i realized that most of the keyboard commands matched the xbox

s = start
a=a
b=b
x=x
y=y
F1=black
etc...


but some of the keys were mapped to different functions

i edited my keymap.xml file to make it control just like XBMC

heres my keymap. youl have to go through it so see what keys to map to pinnacle

this goes in you mediaportal directory, don't overwrite your file if you use custom keys already it will change them.
For those who have pinnacle here is my profile

i use a 360 controller with the buttons set up like this
a=1,b=2,x=3,y=4,LB=5,RB=6,LT=7,RT=8,back=9,start=1 0, LS=11,RS=12
this file will also work if you have an xbox controll set up the same way.

to make it even more like xbmc you'll notice in the pinnacle profile i mapped the left thumbstick to press F10

i use Fraps the screencap program to capture screens while im watching, a feature that Im addicted to for some reason when using XBMC.

it should be noted that mediaportal does have build in support for joysticks..under remotes->directinput i think. I made a config file for it but it, but it using pinnacle was so much easier since the keyboard commands are already layed out.to map the keys exactly like it is in XBMC

Can u post the actions for each button in xbox? I've downloaded and imported you pinnacle game profile, but it does not map the buttons because i've a different gamepad than you...

Fantastic skin. The only thing I (I'm Dutch) don't like is that I can't change the language of the text on the blades, because that is hardcoded.
