a question to the musicmenu: it has the ID 8888. Now I want to have this sort of menu for the little games. Now the ID / hyperlink - are the hardcoded in MP? I mean when I change the ID to for example 9999 and modified the menuitems - will I be able to use this with that ID - or are the ID´s hardcoded / listet in MP?

I hope you understand my english - it´s a little bad and it´s getting very late now

Plugin IDs are hardcoded, but in the case with the bluetwo spining music menu its not cardcoded. You can change it to what ever you want (not to IDs that is alredy used ) as long as you change the hyperlink ID on the button that is suposed to take you to that screen.

Hi Stormbringer,

The musicmenu has the id 8888.

If you will use the menu for other things to start then the musicscreens, you can easy change the gfx with your own ones and change then the hyperlinks in the Musicmenu.xml to your screens you will start.
The Id you must use , you can easy find in the screen xml you will start. Its written in the beginn of the xml.

Yeah -I knew this - but this was not my demand.
I will "copy" the musicmenu and change the gfx and ID´s etc to use it for videos (videoeditor in there and so on). So I will know if it is possible to give this new menu a new ID and if there is a list or blacklist to use ID numbers etc.
I hope this would be clearer now!?

You can use it for other shortcuts like videoeditor and so on, but you must use the ID 8888 and then you lost in the skin the musicmenu.
If you will add a menue you need a seperate ID for that and that is hardcoded.
So you must find a coder who will add for you a empty plugin with a new ID in the sourcecode of mp.
So i have must do it for the musicmenue

Ah - what a shame. I thought I could use 2 of them with different ID´s (one for music and one for videos).

Another question: Is there a chance for the multishortcutplugin to make the ID static - a.t.m. it is dynamic - but I guess it will be hardcoded ,too - right?

Ok maybe i was wrong then. I have never test this, but i was under the impresion it was like i describe in post #2.

I had the same idea, perhaps a coder would include a videomenu in the next svns
