Question regarding IDs

Hello all!

I have a question regarding the IDs used in the skin XML files.
The IDs in the window-tag are defined as in the WIKI. For example myhome must have the ID 0 in the window tag.

But what is abnout the IDs in the different contols-tags?
Yes, they have to be unique, but only inside a single xml file or global?
And can they have an ID to my custom needs or are they somewqhere hard-coded? For example: Must be the ID for, lets say, View as Button XY or can i assign whatever as an ID as long it is unique?

Some controls have global IDs, and some don't. Also some contols have hardcoded IDs in MP. The best way to learn what's what is to get a copy of the source using SVN (info in the wiki), that's how I learn't

. You don't have to be able to compile it, just open the files with notpad an look for hardcoded IDs
